The Georgia Supreme Court found former paraprofessional Jeremy Wetzel’s conduct “highly inappropriate” and “reprehensible.”
The state high court’s recent ruling decided an appeal brought by Wetzel’s own father,
Savannah attorney Michael Wetzel. In September, the elder Wetzel — who specializes in insurance law, not criminal defense — asked the court to throw out a felony conviction that sent his son to prison. What did his son do? The paraprofessional had emailed photos of his genitals to a 15-year-old female student at Oconee High School.
